We have a role for a Client Development Training Consultant within our Client Development team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and have the background needed to collaborate with our business leaders at a high strategic level to develop meaningful training.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver business development training programs/curriculum in a variety of ways, including one on one and group coaching, live workshops on-site, virtual workshops and webinars to internal staff.
- Create new and relevant syllabus program content - including impute into Marketing Assets.
- Identify and engage with critical business development stakeholders, conducting performance gaps and needs analysis to create training recommendations.
- Engage in business development activities with our key clients.
- Coaching pursuit teams in their client engagement activities.
- Support the ongoing evolution of the Client Development Growth Programs.
- Reaches out to peers and engages with Leadership to establish an overall collaborative working relationship
- Prepare monthly status updates on the training and development program activities.
- Develop an intimate understanding of Stantec’s sales cycles and our clients’ buying journeys across Stantec’s NA and international markets.
- Be a Thought Leader attending associations and trade shows and keep current on sales and business development trends, literature, and best practices.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience creating and delivering training programs in a professional environment.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based interfaces.
- Proficiency with online / virtual training tools, Learning Management.
- Systems and sales enablement platforms is a strong asset.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills in small or large group environments, with proficiency in presentation support tools (e.g., PowerPoint).
- Ability to respond constructively to feedback provided.
- Travel throughout North America and Internationally (30% of the time)
Education and Experience
A bachelor’s degree and / or 7 years of professional services sales experience
Experience in the Architecture/Engineering/Infrastructure/Consulting industry is preferred.
Experience developing and delivering adult education programs.
Experience using a professional sales methodology is preferred (e.g., Miller Heiman, SPIN Selling, Challenger Sale)
