BC-2042 Community Development-US West

Through innovative design, we empower communities and help them to realize their potential. Our landscape architects create inspired spaces that reflect context and user needs along with our commitment to sustainability. We take a collaborative approach to design and believe that the best solutions are the product of diverse perspectives.

At Stantec, we are active members of the communities we serve. That’s why our promise is to always design with community in mind. Our Planning & Landscape Architecture practice is comprised of collaborative, knowledgeable, visionary professionals whose work is done at the intersection of community, creativity, and client relationships. We work across disciplines to create high-quality sustainable environments that are innovative, functional, attractive responses to the context in which they are designed.

Our team members have opportunities to provide services across the United States in visioning; master planning; community design; park and recreation design; commercial and corporate design; environmental assessment and documentation; healthcare design; transportation planning and design; and landscape restoration and rehabilitation. These diverse project opportunities are regularly delivered in teams of experts from across the North America – we are better together.

Stantec's Sacramento office is looking for a professional and self-motivated Landscape Designer/Architect for a full-time position. It is desired for the candidate to be based in the Sacramento studio but remote employment from another Stantec office or work from home in the United States might be considered based on skills and work from home agreement.

The Sacramento office observes a 9/80 alternative work schedule with every other Friday off.

The Sacramento studio has a great downtown location at 555 Capitol Mall with close access to public transportation and dining options. The office interior was thoughtfully designed by our own staff as a collaborative studio environment. In this setting, our planning and landscape architecture group is part of the Sacramento region team with more than 250 architects, interior designers, engineers (civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical), environmental scientists, botanists, architectural historians, and many other talented professionals. We hope to return to our home office in the future; however, the timing and format remains unclear at this time and working remotely.
