Your Opportunity:
Stantec is seeking a PD&E/Roadway Engineer in our Coral Gables, Florida office to assist our growing roadway, planning, traffic and bridge groups. We seek a team player who desires a highly collaborative work environment, has excellent client and communication skills, can multi-task with a variety of assignments, and has strong design capabilities. We seek a candidate to participate on roadway design for highways and urban roadways as part of our Project Development and Environment (PD&E) group.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include production of horizontal and vertical alignments as well as roadway plans production utilizing Microstation, Geopak, OpenRoads and 3D-Modeling. Other key responsibilities include development of transportation planning and engineering reports and studies, including reports for PD&E studies.
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
- Excellent communication skills
- Good technical writing skills; capable of writing reports, letters and technical specifications
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work in Microstation, Geopak, and OpenRoads
- Prepare geometric analyses and calculations in support of established design criteria
- Strong technical knowledge of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) design and planning procedures.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering or a related degree
- Experience preparing preliminary and final design plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates is a plus
- Experience in transportation engineering and/or planning projects
