Your Opportunity:
Stantec is seeking a Transportation Engineer for our West Palm Beach or Deerfield Beach, Florida office to assist our growing roadway, planning, traffic and bridge groups. We seek a team player who desires a highly collaborative work environment, has excellent client and communication skills, can multi-task with a variety of assignments, and has strong design capabilities. Come join our Transportation Roadways Team and work alongside others who share your passion to support communities through exciting and unique roadway projects.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include production of horizontal and vertical alignments as well as roadway plans production utilizing Microstation, Geopak, OpenRoads and 3D-Modeling. Other key responsibilities include development of transportation planning and engineering reports and studies, including reports for PD&E studies.
Your Capabilities and Credentials:
- Excellent communication skills
- Good technical writing skills; capable of writing reports, letters and technical specifications
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work in Microstation, Geopak, and OpenRoads
- Prepare geometric analyses and calculations in support of established design criteria
- Strong technical knowledge of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) design and planning procedures.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering or a related degree
- Professional Engineering license, or ability to obtain within a year is highly preferred
- 3+years experience preparing preliminary and final design plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates is a plus
- Experience in transportation engineering and/or planning projects.
