Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking a Roadway Engineering Manager to lead our roadway design group in West Virginia. This position is advertised for the Charleston or Bridgeport WV office locations. Your Key Responsibilities
- Day to day management of the roadway design team operations in West Virginia
- Effective planning & communication skills with team members
- Manage the design of streets, roadways, highways, and interchanges to meet local, state and federal requirements
- Planning, analysis and design of projects, scheduling staff, review of work, training and mentoring staff, proposal preparation, project presentation, project management, fiscal management, and contract negotiations
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Proficient use of MicroStation V8i, InRoads and Open Roads
- Ability to use or familiarity with AutoCad is a plus
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience and knowledge of AASHTO and WVDOH design directives and specifications
- Experience and knowledge of WVDOH roadway and right of way deliverables
Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related degree
- Minimum of eight (8) years of transportation design experience
- West Virginia Professional Engineer (P.E.) Registration or ability to obtain P.E. within a year
