Dessau is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer specialized in electrical equipment to join its Power Transmission department in its office. Reporting to the Team Leader, your main task will be to participate in the design of electrical facilities for power transmission stations. Specifically, you will:
Responsibilities
•Produce plans for the electrical installation of equipment in substations and plants;
•Produce studies related to short-circuit, set of bars capacity, sag calculations, transformer impedance, grounding, etc;
•Design various electrical facilities (cable routing, connection of equipment for lighting systems, fire protection, etc.);
•Ensure coordination with the client;
•Supervise technical activities of resources associated to the projects;
•Write technical proposals and estimate costs.
•Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in electrical substation equipment;
•Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec or Professional Engineers of Ontario;
•Bilingualism, English and French;
•Experience / capability to manage a group of people as part of a project team or management of a work team (important asset);
•Ability to write reports, studies, technical specifications, functional analyses and other technical documents.
