Your Opportunity
Stantec is currently looking for a Sr Power Platform Developer. This team member will focus on functionality and user experience equally. As a developer in our fast-paced team, you will have the unique and rewarding opportunity to shape the future by contributing to the development of innovative solutions that are directly linked to cutting edge technologies and data analytics.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead and advance the team’s service offerings for Power Platform tools
- Design/develop and deploy interactive data visualizations using Power BI.
- Utilize Power Apps and Power Automate to refine datasets, reports, and dashboards in real time
- Rigorously test applications for functionality and data accuracy.
- Consolidate and analyze data from multiple sources
- Develop, administer, and maintain data models.
- Exercise judgment and work independently within to determine appropriate action necessary to complete tasks
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to team members, clients, stakeholders, and other staff.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Bachelor’s Degree, Business Administration/Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems
Education and Experience
- 5+ years of experience developing solutions with the Power Platform
- Strong understanding of Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate
- Expertise in setup, connection, and management of SharePoint, Dataverse, SQL Server, and Azure cloud solutions.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and its integration into the Power Platform
- Experience with the Agile development process
- Lead and/or participate in requirements gathering and analysis sessions with clients to determine project requirements as well as complete sprint planning for the respective solution
- Web development experience including but not limited to CSS, HTML, JavaScript, PHP, C# or .Net Framework is a plus
- Focus on UI/UX design
- Programming experience in Python, R, C#, or JavaScript is a plus
- Understanding of SQL relational databases, queries, and tools
- Experience using XD, PhotoShop, InDesign or Illustrator is a plus
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Project Management, Construction, or Design Engineering industry experience is a plus
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
