Your Opportunity
Stantec is seeking an NEPA Transportation Lead with a keen interest in the natural and social sciences to join our Transportation team in Ohio. The candidate will support transportation (roadway, transit & aviation) projects that require compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

Your Key Responsibilities
- Provides leadership to an interdisciplinary team of ecologists, noise analysts, and other environmental specialists on a variety of environmental services for transportation projects.
- Prepares and reviews NEPA documents and supporting analyses
- Develops and manages client relationships.
- Assists with development of technical and cost proposals for environmental projects.
- Assists with public involvement actions such as public meetings, stakeholder meetings, etc.
- Provides technical expertise to Stantec’s Transportation Department and other company departments, as needed.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Ability to develop and grow positive client relationships.
- Experienced in using GIS mapping for exhibit preparation and impact assessment.
- Demonstrated desire to successfully contribute to project execution and technical excellence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Works well in a team atmosphere and independently as required.
- Conscientious, organized, and disciplined.
- The successful candidate will have a diverse skill set in multiple environmental disciplines and a passion for lifelong learning.
Education and Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in environmental science (biology, ecology, natural resources, soil science or related field), planning, or environmental engineering discipline. Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of environmental and NEPA planning
- Licensures/Certifications/Training: Completion of ODOT environmental prequalification training preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft office products and ArcGIS.
