Stantec is seeking a Transportation Intern in our Lake Mary, Florida office to assist our growing roadway, planning, traffic, and bridge groups. Candidates should be technical thinkers with beginner level experience with design/construction. Must be able to work collaboratively with a team of engineers and designers at all levels to deliver quality plans to clients.
As an Intern for Stantec, you will work in a team environment and have exposure to exciting coastal engineering projects. This is a terrific opportunity for a college student to support a number of exciting local and national projects.

Your Key Responsibilities
Candidate will assist engineering and administrative staff with such tasks as:
- Applying formulas to routine calculations
- Preparing spreadsheets and graphs for engineers
- Assisting with site inspections and observations
- Performing AutoCAD work, and researching materials and manufacturer equipment
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation software preferred
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Detail oriented and organized.
- Ability to work independently and in a group.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively at a fast pace.
- Willingness to learn new skills and interface collaboratively with a large and experienced team across all levels and disciplines.
- Self-motivated.
Education and Experience
College class work in Civil Engineering and current status as Civil Engineering student working towards a bachelor’s degree.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
