We are seeking a Senior Contaminant Hydrogeologist to work with our Environmental Site Investigation and Remediation practice in our Burnaby, British Columbia office. As a senior practitioner working on contaminated sites in BC, you will be part of a technical marketing and business development team focused on the development of business in this area of our consulting portfolio. In addition to your business development responsibilities, you will provide technical expertise on a variety of projects including development and implementation of work programs and management of schedules, budgets and client deliverables.
Our team includes Contaminant Hydrogeologists, Risk Assessment specialists, Environmental Engineers and a host of other specialties that focus on the investigation, assessment, remediation and redevelopment of contaminated sites.
Responsibilities include:
- Support on-going business development efforts. Developing and maintaining client contacts
- Proposal development, including the development of work plans, scope and budgets
- Collaborate with other scientific and engineering professionals within the Stantec community across Canada and the United States
- Lead technical work programs including preparation of technical reports and providing senior review of technical reports
- Provide technical coaching and mentorship, helping to plan and deliver training programs for our technical team
- Actively participate in promoting a strong health and safety culture in the team
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- P.Geo. or P.Eng. Registration is a requirement for this position. A Master's level degree and consulting experience are considered to be an asset
- Minimum of 15 years of related contaminated site hydrogeological experience with particular emphasis on industrial and brownfield properties
- A strong aptitude for business development and client management
- Excellent communication, teamwork and mentorship skills
- A strong affinity for teamwork, training and mentoring junior staff
- Superior and demonstrated verbal and written communication skills
- A proven track record of identifying and successfully leading and winning strategic pursuits
