Your Opportunity
We are currently soliciting letters of interest for an Environmental Services Team Lead position(s). The position can be based in any of our offices in Atlantic Canada.
Reporting to the Operations Lead, the Team Lead will be an integral part of the Business Center’s leadership team in using your skills to mentor and grow a highly capable and motivated team, while ensuring we provide results that go above and beyond client’s expectations.
Your Key Responsibilities
In addition to your regular professional scope of work, your added responsibilities will include:
- Manage the resourcing and development of the Atmospheric Sciences Team
- Supervise junior staff and help with career development
- Chair regular team meetings & share information
- Lead in the creation of Stantec’s safety culture within your team
- Support the team to ensure they meet their respective utilization targets
- Assist in the development of quality SOPs
- Encourage a culture of innovation in the team
- Inspire collaboration and cross-training
- Attract, grow, and retain high quality staff
- Coach team members
- Perform Year End Performance Reviews for team members
- Participate in and PM project work
Your Capabilities and Experience
- Leadership experience and commitment to Stantec values including inclusion and diversity
- Experience in or a solid understanding of the consulting industry in a multidisciplinary environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in planning and executing projects with limited supervision
- Ability and willingness to travel when needed
- A valid driver’s license
Your Specialization
The ideal candidate will have foundational technical experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Environment Impact Assessment and Permitting: scoping, execution, and analysis with respect to the Atmospheric Environment.
- Emissions quantification experience and air quality modelling knowledge in AERMOD and CALPUFF.
- Familiarly with ambient air quality monitoring methods and experience with ambient air quality monitoring.
- Knowledge of acoustical theory, field measurement and monitoring of sound and vibration including ambient/baseline sound surveys would be an asset.
- Familiarity with the use of a variety of sound and vibration measurement instruments and modeling software (e.g., CADNA/A).
- Experience with Greenhouse Gas quantification, verification, mitigation, and reduction planning.
- Familiarity with emissions testing and test methods.
Education and Qualifications
Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in environmental sciences, geoscience, or engineering
Minimum 8 years of direct experience working with key aspects of the Atmospheric Environment
