Your Opportunity
Stantec is currently seeking a Senior Auditor, Airport Equipment & ARFF Vehicles with experience in Airport Heavy Equipment & ARFF Vehicle Mechanical repairs and maintenance with senior supervisory and/or management experience, who is a team player, with strong communication skills and interpersonal abilities, and is interested in taking their career to the next level. The opportunity for a Senior Auditor (Airport Vehicles) includes managing the audit of Airport Heavy Equipment and ARFF Vehicles, including the assessment of condition, past equipment maintenance and repair, preventative maintenance procedures, point in vehicle life cycle, and the successful delivery of an audit report and a state of good repair report. This is a great opportunity for a motivated, organized self-supervised individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
Working with clients:
- Prepare an audit checklist and draft report outline, including vehicle audit report draft and a state of good repair audit statement, and provide mechanical review of airport maintenance equipment and ARFF vehicles, their maintenance and repair records as part of an bi-annual audit program accordingly, prior to site visits and on-site inspections.
- Prepare audit documents and coordinate the equipment audit with the Project Manager or Airport Systems Audit Lead.
- Act as the Consultant Representative with the Client’s interests in mind with a strong level of ownership of project tasks and objectives
- Travel will be required from time to time for audit activities.
Working with Project Teams:
- Coordinate and participate in technical report writing.
- Prepare and distribute of high quality, accurate and timely documents such as: agendas, audit status reports, and meeting minutes.
- Perform contract administration, coordination, and development as required
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Emotional intelligence to work with a broad range of different types of people, including, technical experts, government officials, legal counsels, Indigenous groups, public stakeholders, and other project partners.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including an aptitude for value-based leadership and people management.
- Strong leadership abilities to lead multidisciplinary teams on complex projects on time sensitive and projects of varying sizes with a demonstrated ability to handle multiple assignments and priorities concurrently.
- Possess excellent organizational skills, time-management skills; thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting and efficient use of time and resources.
- Adequate computer skills and literacy in technical writing, presentation, and other software including MS Power Point, MS Word, and MS Excel.
- Ability to effectively discuss and make presentations related to project plans, milestone updates, and technical issues with clients and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of all phases of airport asset audits, including conventional methods for public and private clients.
- Demonstrated ability to handle airport audit processes and related assignments.
- Must be able to successfully work both collaboratively and independently.
Education and Experience
- Heavy Equipment Mechanic’s license (various provinces, and/or federally) and experience in airport heavy vehicle / ARFF vehicle and equipment maintenance and repairs considered an asset. Five (5) + years’ previous experience working as an Airport Equipment Mechanic.
Typical office or work-from-home office environment working with computers and field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
